Located in northern California, the Healing Buddha Center was established by Geshe Gyalten to provide a center for the study of Tibetan Buddhist Dharma in the Gelug Tradition.

Gelug is one of the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism, and is the lineage of the Dalai Lama.  Choden Rimpoche is a student of the Dalai Lama, and Geshe’s Gyalten and Norbu are students of Choden Rimpoche. 

The purpose of the Healing Buddha Center is to share and promote Eastern holistic healing techniques including Buddhist philosophy and Tibetan meditation to enable awakening of the soul.  The Healing Buddha, known as the Blue Medicine Buddha, established the goals of healing all sentient beings of both physical suffering and mental afflictions.
